The hardest working part on any Cassese pneumatic underpinner as it operates the top clamp pad and inserts the wedges into the moulding. This top quality version of the firing cylinder is the one that Cassese used to fit to all their pneumatic underpinners before changing to the cheaper/poor quality EMC brand. Typical faults when worn are:
- Air Leaks
- Wedges not inserted fully
- Top clamp pad not returning to its full height
- Tired sounding operation
